Breast Cancer Stages
Symptoms:

  • Change in the way the breast feels
  • Breast pain
  • Swelling in the arm next to the cancerous breast
  • Weight loss
  • Bone pain
Stages:
  • Stage 0~ Cancer hasn't fully developed yet or there are just signs that you are at high risk
  • Stage 1~ Cancer is no larger than 2cm and hasn't spread to other lymph nodes or outside the breast
  • Stage 2~ Cancer is 2cm or larger and has began to spread
  • Stage 3~ Cancer is larger than 2cm, spread to tissues near the breast, or other lymph nodes
  • Stage 4~ Cancer has spread to other tissues or organs


Treatment:
  • Chemotheropy, which kills cancer cells
  • Radiation Therapy, which kills cancerous tissue
  • Surgery to remove the cancer
  • Hormonal Therapy, which stops certain hormones that help cancer grow
